Student United Way
The University of Michigan Student United Way is a student-run branch of the United Way of Washtenaw County. They are a group of student volunteers devoted to lending their time and talent for the benefit of our surrounding community. Additionally, they work closely with United Way of Washtenaw County to provide continuing support for its 60 partner agencies. Through their efforts, SUW hope to encourage other students to become both active members of Student United Way and volunteers within their own community.
A worldwide organization of committed volunteers that support the local community while growing their own leadership and professional qualities.
To feel engaged in the community by supporting two volunteer opportunities a year.
Student United Way's work and impact on the community has been widely recognized. On February 2, 2015, they were honored by Mayor Christopher Taylor at the Ann Arbor City Council meeting for their outstanding volunteer work in Ann Arbor and with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program. The proclamation celebrating their service can be viewed HERE.
