The Campaign for the Community Kick-Off was held at the North Campus Research Complex, more commonly known as the former Pfizer site, on Wednesday morning. It was announed that the Pacesetter Campaign raised nearly $530,000 successfully starting the 2010 Campaign off on the right foot.
In the next few months, hard work and commitment will be key components to reaching this year's campaign goal of $5.25 million. 2010 United Way Campain Chair Dr. Ora Pescovitz delivered an inspiring message to the nearly 200 kick-off guests when she stressed that "by contributing, you are investing and there's a return on that investment. Your money will come back in a healthy community."

September 11, 2010
The anniversary of 9/11 is upon us and we ask that as an American citizen you take this opportunity to LIVE UNITED in our community - perform a good deed, or donate to a meaningful cause. Please take a moment out of your busy Saturday to reflect on those affected by this tragedy and come together with those around you to create positive change and improve the lives of your fellow community members. |
