Help babies get a healthy start in life! United Way of Washtenaw County in collaboration with community agencies and businesses, is hosting our first Community Baby Shower throughout the month of June.
 
Our goal is to help local families in Washtenaw County provide their children with a good start.

We are collecting the following new items: formula, diapers, health care items, gowns/sleepers, strollers (will accept gently used), wipes, blankets, baby food, infant carriers, baby gates (will accept gently used), pacifiers, pull-ups, bottles, digital thermometers, potty chairs, bouncer seat/swing, hygiene items, and a baby monitor.

Your donations will support local agencies including: Alpha House, Catholic Social Services, Community Action Network, Corner Health, Home of New Vision, Perry Nursery School, Packard Health, The Hope Clinic, and SOS Community Center.

United Way's Day of Action (formerly Day of Caring) takes place on June 21st. This event is a day of volunteerism mobilizing hundreds of local volunteers to complete community service projects throughout Washtenaw County. Our volunteers are individuals and groups from local companies, organizations and the community.  All ages, including youth and adults, are welcome to participate as volunteers in this event.

Come on out to Pierce Lake Golf Course to have fun and make a difference!
With its rolling terrain, scenic vistas, quality amenities and reasonable fees, Pierce Lake Golf Course provides an exceptional golfing experience. Golfers of all skill levels enjoy playing the front nine, while the wooded areas, wetlands and tighter fairways of the back nine challenge the more experienced golfers.

Registration and breakfast begin as 7am. Golf will commence at 8am with a shot gun start and will be followed by lunch. There will be a 4 person best ball competition as well as a hole in one contest with a $10,000 prize!

Come on out and walk a 2K or a 5K for the cause of your choice! There will be a free BBQ luncheon, family fun activities, prize giveaways, and a charity expo.
 
Registration begins at 10am, the 5K begins at 11am, and the 2K begins at 11:30am.

Big House Big Heart Run

University of Michigan Football Stadium

Details:
The race starts and finishes at the University of Michigan's famous football stadium--The Big House. It is the largest stadium in the country seating over 107,000 spectators. This chip-timed 5K and 10K events start on the corner of Kipke and Green and the run takes you through the University of Michigan's beautiful campus with a spectacular finish--a run through the Big House tunnel and onto the field. You'll finish on the 50 yard line and watch yourself on the Big House Big Screen!
 
While you run, you can raise funds for the nonprofit of your choice!
 
The 10K race begins at 8am, the 5K race begins at 9:10am, and the 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 10:30am.
